Freestyle champion and multi-titled Italian athlete of the Duotone International Team Francesca Bagnoli is the splendid godmother of the Engie Kitesurf Challenge scheduled from 1 to 4 July in the waters of the Stagnone di Marsala.
There is great excitement these days along the banks of the Stagnone of Marsala, a true corner of paradise always beaten by the wind on the north-eastern coast of Sicily. In fact, the highly anticipated is about to begin Marsala Kite Fest, a great organized event from 28 June to 4 July by the Stagnone Sport Tourism Association which brings together all the kitesurfing schools located in this protected marine park dedicated to watersports.
Over the course of a week, the event will welcome sportsmen and passionate kiters, but also simple curious people who may want to try this splendid discipline that tastes of nature and freedom for the first time. Each school will provide those who request it with materials, equipment and qualified instructors for a sort of "baptism of the sea" to transform absolute beginners into potential riders, maybe why not, by enrolling in a real course.
The spectacular Freestyle and Big Air disciplines are great protagonists
During the Marsala Kite Fest there are also themed evenings at the beach clubs in the Birgi Vecchi area with live music and wine tastings from the Fina, Birgi, Marino Abate and Baglio Oro wineries. But the real highlight of the event is the sporting event of the year, namely theEngie Kitesurf Challenge, valid as the first stage of the Big Air Championship and stage of the National Freestyle Championship CKWI - FIV.
Organized by Antonio Gaudini, entrepreneur and popularizer of kitesurfing in Italy, the Engie Kitesurf Challenge 2021 will take place from 1 to 3 July and includes a Freestyle, valid as a stage of the Italian Championship that will see the best national athletes of the discipline challenge each other and a competition dedicated instead to Big Air in which the athletes will show the highest jumps using the kite propulsion. For all athletes competing there is a prize money of 1,500 euros for the first three athletes on the podium and thefree registration for the event for the first 20 athletes who will contact the race committee.
Many members and an exceptional godmother: Francesca Bagnoli

Recall that the great godmother of the Engie Kitesurf Challenge 2021 is the very strong Francesca Bagnoli, winner of 5 Italian titles and a third place overall in the 2017 Freestyle World Championship. The reigning Italian champion was absent. Gianmaria Coccoluto, (5 times Italian champion and in second place in the European Ranking List) because he was involved in the GKA Kite World Tour at the stage of Tarifa in Spain.
